Meet Dr. Starkey
Dr. Starkey is a talented and renowned optometrist who provides a complete range of eye care services.
Education & Experience
Dr. Starkey graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Central Arkansas, and went on to obtain her Doctorate of Optometry at the Southern College of Optometry in 2004. She is licensed to practice in Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
Memberships & Achievements
While completing her Doctor of Optometry, Dr. Starkey was selected for The Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society membership. In 2014, she became a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry. She is a past President of the Arkansas Optometric Association and continues to serve the field nationally on the American Optometric Association Board of Trustees. She was recognized for her service to the profession with the 2020 Arkansas Optometric Association Optometrist of the Year award and the 2020 Arkansas Optometric Association Special Service Award. She was also awarded the Women of Optometry 2020 Theia Aware of Excellence in Leadership. In 2021, she was again recognized nationally as the American Optometric Association Optometrist of the Year.
